The designers during the Bauhaus movement believed that the material, functions and manufacturing process of a product should dictate its form. Hence that explains why their products looked so functional, timeless and mass producible even in our times.
The product I proposed for this project is a new concept of storing personal items, based on the Bauhaus belief that a product must be true to its form.
The survey I did with people in my university revealed that more than half of them are not satisfied with their wardrobes. Strangely enough often the complaints are not about storage capacity but rather poor organisation of their personal items such as misplacement and messy interior.
Hence my approach for this project is to design a storage unit that would help people to remember and organise their personal belongings more efficiently.
